Paper Robots In Disguise

As a kid (and adult too) I had a great love and fascination of Transformers. I still have a huge box of the toys at my parents and the original cartoon series on DVD.
There have been many incarnations of the heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons (Gen 2, Armada, Beast Wars, Energon, R.I.D., etc.) and [...]

Street Gangs

You can tell I’m on a “study day” today because of the amount of blog posts!

There’s a good article on the rise of teenagers in street gangs on the BBC News Magazine.
“There’s a real power in it, especially if someone has a problem and you deal with it. The camaraderie is unbelievable and is [...]

Heart Attack Baby back from dead!

“A baby boy who was pronounced dead after a heart attack came back to life 30 minutes later as he lay in his grieving parents’ arms.”

Stuff for free or waste of time?

So I followed this link about a free ipod. Apparently the BBC ran a news item on it and it’s legit. All you have to do is buy, try or participate in one of their offers and sign up some friends to do the same. Unsurprisingly the offers include insurance, sky TV etc. I’m not [...]

Influential Youth Ministry Books

I forgot to link to Marko’s post about the top 10 most influential Youth Ministry books when he posted it a couple of weeks ago (so here it is now). Many books I’ve picked up recently have come as recommendations from other bloggers, so it’s well worth checking out the list on his blog including [...]

Coffee and iPods

For those of us who can’t live without a daily dose of caffeine or music, there may be some good news coming up. The current speculation is that you could soon walk into Starbucks, buy a caramel macchiato and download the latest U2 release onto your iPod. Full rumor-mongering here.
Update: On a similar [...]
