Easter

Well, what a manic 3 weeks!

After the usual end-of-term madness when schools break, I was looking forward to Easter and a few lie-ins… I should have known better really.

We kicked off the holidays with 6 amazing days at Minehead Butlins leading Distinctive 11-14’s for Spring Harvest (3rd -8th). I made some good friends (Hi bunnies) and a fool of myself on stage in the Big Top, but God did some amazing things. Luckily we had a 4-day bank holiday weekend!

Tuesday (13th) I was back into action for the Young Carers Workshop in Lancing, then our usual Live Wires playscheme (200 kids) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (14th – 16th) with the Jump Disco Frday Night. Saturday was my only day off before being on the set-up rota for church (18th) and I also had to do the kids talk last minute.

Monday (19th) the US/DK team arrive from Copenhagen and we are back into Breakfast Club, Crew, MIX, and all the usual activities at The WIRE. Thursday night (22nd) was the X-treme party at LCS and we got around 100 young people there, then Friday (23rd) was Bognor SNAP. After rushing to get there from swimming with The Crew, it was a great night with 2 of my guests/friends AJ and Danny pulling Breakdance Moves (and some girls too). The highlight for me was watching almost 250 teenagers doing the actions to “Oops Upside Your Head”!

It’s a good job Kirsty and I are going on a real holiday this Friday, I could really use some sleep!
